Mike Wilson
Mike Wilson started tattooing a little south of Daytona Beach Florida at the age of 20 years old in 1991. He started at a shop called Atlantic Tattoo, which no longer exists. It was located across from a biker bar called Last Resort. That first year Mike got to meet a lot of talented tattooers during Bike Week that came to guest spot. Lou from Miami, Guy Atchison, Miss Vicki, Barefoot Al, John Himmelstein, Anette LaRue, & Many Others. During that first year Mike also met Eric & Debbie Inksmith in Jacksonville Florida. They assisted in finishing off his apprenticeship and teaching him what a real tattoo was.
Mike was fortunate enough to work for Dave Gibson at Lucky’s Tattoo Parlor in San Diego California, as well as many conventions in the US. This lead to traveling abroad and working with the likes of Hanky-Panky in Amsterdam. Traveling and meeting new artists is always a huge inspiration for Mike. He has had the opportunity to work at Tattoo Shops all across the US and the World. Canada, The UK, Thailand, Japan, & even Kathmandu Nepal are just some of the many places he has been.
Mike Wilson splits his time between Inksmith & Rogers here in Jacksonville Florida, and Historic Custom Tattoo in Watchung New Jersey. He makes several trips a year up and down the east coast stopping and tattooing along the way..
